Product Description

The Allen-Bradley 150-A850FCD, an 850A Smart Motor Controller from the SMC-plus series, handles 10-800 HP motors using a 200-600V, 50/60 Hz, 3-phase input. This Class 50 solid-state controller, with a NEMA type 4 enclosure, offers soft stop, soft start (with kickstart), current limit start, and full voltage start modes. It utilizes Bulletin 100 bypass contactors (120V AC, 50-60 Hz) for enhanced operator functions and supports one of six optional features: pump control, smart motor braking, slow speed with braking, Accu-stop with slow speed and start, preset slow speed, or soft stop (Accu-stop is unavailable due to the bypass contactor). The cUL marked, CSA and UL certified 150-A850FCD operates reliably in standard room or industrial temperatures.

Is Your Device Showing These Signs?

The Allen Bradley 150-A850FCD commonly experiences issues such as failed solid-state overload relays, requiring replacement to restore motor protection functionality. Contactor coil burnout is a frequent problem, leading to operational failure and necessitating coil replacement. Auxiliary contact block malfunctions disrupt signaling and control circuits, demanding inspection and potential replacement. Terminal block damage from over-tightening or corrosion causes connection failures, requiring terminal repair or replacement. Internal component degradation due to age and environmental factors results in erratic performance, often addressed through refurbishment or component-level repair.
