Product Description
The 154-A11NA Starting Torque Controller (STC) is a solid-state controller for low-horsepower, three-phase and single-phase squirrel cage induction motors. It minimizes mechanical and electrical shock from direct online starting, providing smoother starts and reducing downtime from vibration-related issues. No bypass is needed as it handles full-load motor current. The STC activates upon line phase energization, requiring control power but not a start signal. It supports single or double-phase control. Double-phase control offers greater current reduction but extends ramp-up time and reduces starting torque, with starting current potentially exceeding 50%, though with better balance than single-phase control. Rated for 120V single-phase motors up to 11 Amps, the 154-A11NA STC is suitable for permanent split capacitor (PSC) and Capacitor Start Capacitor Run (CSCR) single-phase motors, and applications needing smooth starts and stops, such as trolleys, cranes, shrink wrap machines, monorails, overhead doors, compressors, material handling, lifts, fans, pumps, elevators, and conveyors.
