SynchLink, which supports time synchronization and data transfer alongside standard network protocols like Ethernet or ControlNet, connects to the 1756-DMA31 module residing in a ControlLogix chassis. This module facilitates coordinated drive control, distributed motion control, and time synchronization, interfacing with Reliance Electric DPS drive equipment via a single PMI chassis to perform velocity, position, and torque control, specifically with the SA3100 AC drive. The 1756-DMA31 supports SynchLink at 650nm and drive communication at 820nm, with data rates of 5 Mbps and 10 Mbps respectively, using specific fiber optic cables up to 300 meters. It draws 1.35A at 5.1V DC and 3mA at 24V DC, dissipates 6.96W, and operates between 0 and 60 degrees Celsius.
