Product Description

The Allen-Bradley 1783-WAPBK9 Stratix 5100 wireless access point/work bridge offers a secure, cost-effective, and flexible wireless LAN solution for networking professionals. Operating at 48V DC and 350mA, it features dual-band 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz radios for high-speed data transmission, acting as a bridge between wired and wireless networks. It supports FCC and ETSI regulations, boasts 3 spatial streams, a 450 Mbps PHY rate, and workgroup bridge functionality for wired client connectivity. The device also features compressed beamforming, includes a low-profile mounting bracket with screws, and is powered by a 100-240V AC adapter at 50-60 Hz. It's operational up to 4572 meters altitude at 25C and within a temperature range of -20 to 55C, but is incompatible with distributed antenna systems.

Is Your Device Showing These Signs?

The Allen Bradley 1783-WAPBK9 access point commonly experiences issues related to firmware corruption, requiring a firmware upgrade or re-flash to resolve connectivity problems. Configuration errors, such as incorrect IP addressing, subnet mask, or gateway settings, prevent proper network communication and must be verified. Radio frequency interference degrades wireless performance; channel optimization and antenna placement adjustments are necessary. Power supply failures cause intermittent operation; voltage levels must be tested and the power supply replaced if out of specification. Security misconfigurations, including weak passwords or improper encryption protocols, expose the network to vulnerabilities; security settings should be hardened.
