The Allen Bradley 1785-KA is a PLC 5 communication adapter module that bridges Data Highway Plus and Data Highway networks. It occupies a single slot in a 1771 I/O chassis, drawing 1.5A at 5V DC. It connects to Data Highway via a 15-pin D-shell connector, Data Highway Plus via a 3-screw terminal block, and optionally to a 1784-T50 terminal via a 9-pin D-shell connector, all at 57.6 kbps. Six switch assemblies (SW1-SW6) configure communication options, including Data Highway/Data Highway Plus rates (SW1) and node addresses (SW4-SW6). The module is keyed between pins 4/6 and 24/26 and operates between 0-60C, with a storage temperature range of -40 to 85C.
