Product Description

The 2097-V33PR5 is a single-axis servo drive belonging to the Kinetix 300 Ethernet/IP indexing servo drive family, offering cost-effectiveness for applications with fewer control axes. Its built-in Ethernet/IP interface supports modern connectivity to existing Ethernet/IP networks, simplifying integration. The 2097-V34PR5 operates with an external AC input voltage of 480VAC, 3-phase, and features integrated Safe Torque-Off (STO). It provides a continuous output current of 5.7 A and a continuous power of 2.0 kW. For installation, the 2097-V34PR5 requires minimum side clearances of 3mm (0.12 inches) and top/bottom clearances of 25 mm (1.0 inches) for proper airflow. An additional 150 mm (6.0 inches) clearance is necessary when the drive is installed adjacent to noise-sensitive devices or equipment, with further clearances potentially required based on installed accessories.

The front panel of the servo drive includes embedded interfaces for an Ethernet communication port, Shunt resistor and DC bus (BC) connector, Motor feedback (MF) connector, I/O (IOD) connector, and Back-up power (BP) connector.

The Kinetix 300 Indexing Servo Drive utilizes a single standard communication network for swift and straightforward configuration, commissioning, and startup. By employing the 2097-V34PR5, an entire control solution encompassing HMI, I/O, Programmable Automation Controllers (PACs), and motion can be integrated over EtherNet/IP, eliminating the need for a separate Motion Control Network. This streamlined network topology reduces panel layout complexities and overall system costs while ensuring excellent reliability and high-speed connectivity. The 2097-V34PR5 is capable of executing five different indexing types and supporting up to 32 indexes for precise position control, making it ideal for applications such as indexing tables, intermittent horizontal and vertical form/fill/seal machines, simple sleevers, case packers and erectors, feed and withdrawal equipment, tool changing machinery, and automatic assembly equipment. To enhance both productivity and safety, this Kinetix 300 servo drive is equipped with integrated safe torque-off functionality, allowing for safe and efficient troubleshooting and maintenance tasks without the need to completely power down the machine. When a circuit trip occurs, the drive output can be safely disabled, resulting in reduced machine downtime and faster restarts.
