Product Description
The Allen-Bradley 2098-DSD-005 is an Ultra 3000 Digital Servo Drive, with dimensions of 7.8 x 5.68 x 2.86 inches (198.12 x 144.27 x 72.64 mm) and a weight of approximately 1.8 kg (4.1 lbs). It has an operating temperature range of 0-55 °C (32-131 °F) and a storage temperature range of -40-70 °C (-40-158 °F), with a relative humidity range of 5-95% (non-condensing). The drive has an operating shock rating of 15 g (3 pulses, 11 ms) and a nonoperating shock rating of 30 g (3 pulses, 11 ms).
This module complies with Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) standards, specifically EN 50081-2 (EMC - Generic Emission Standard, Part 2 - Industrial Environment) and EN 50082-2 (EMC – Generic Immunity Standard, Part 2 - Industrial Environment).
As a single-phase AC drive, the 2098-DSD-005 is used for controlling many industrial servo motors. It accepts an input voltage range of 100 to 240V AC at an input frequency of 47-63 Hertz. The Nominal Input Current (AC) is 5 A Root Mean Square, and it provides a 2.5A (0 to peak) Continuous Output Current and a 7.5A (0 to peak) Intermittent Output Current.
It is recommended to tune the motor with no load initially to minimize the risk of unpredictable motor responses, and then re-tune with the load installed to achieve accurate operating performance.
