Product Description
The Allen-Bradley 2098-DSD-010-DN is an Ultra 3000 Digital Servo Drive with DeviceNet capability, designed as a single-phase AC servo drive for controlling industrial servo motors. It has an input rating of 9A (with a 100A current surge) and operates with 100-240V AC (single phase) at 47-63Hz, providing an output rating of 15A (intermittent).
The drive delivers a maximum output power of 1kW at 230V AC, with a maximum energy absorption capability of 51 Joules, and features a BUS capacitance of 1880μF. It includes 400V DC BUS overvoltage protection and uses Class CC and Class J 230V AC Bussman fuses for circuit protection.
Motion control is achieved through a digital proportional–integral–derivative (PID) controller with a 250μs maximum update time, and positioning is managed by a digital PID controller with feed-forward control. During operation, the 2098-DSD-010-DN dissipates 48W of heat and is designed for use in temperatures between 0°C and 55°C (32°F and 131°F) with a relative humidity of 5-95%.
The drive has 8 optically-isolated, active high and current sinking digital inputs, along with 4 current sourcing outputs and a Normally-Open relay output rated at 30V DC (max) and 1A (max). Communication is handled via the base RS-232/RS-422/RS-485 serial port using the CN3, 9-pin Female D-Sub serial port connector, and it also supports the DeviceNet communication interface with selectable speeds of 125, 250, and 500 kbps, and auto-baud rates, supporting node addresses from 00-63.
The 2098-DSD-010-DN is designed to function optimally under a shock of 15G and a vibration of 2.5G. It weighs 2.1Kg (4.6lbs) and has dimensions of 98.1mm x 32.77mm x 65.02mm.
