Product Description
The Allen-Bradley 2098-DSD-075X Ultra 3000 Digital Servo Drive with Indexing is a high-performance 3-phase AC drive designed for a wide range of industrial motion control applications. It operates with an input voltage range of 100-240VRMS AC and has an input current of 30ARMS with a surge of 50A (0-peak). It also has an auxiliary input with input ratings of 100-240V AC and a 95A (0-peak) current surge.
The drive provides an output current of 35A and a peak intermittent current of 75A. It features a shunt rating of 420V DC and shunt ON/OFF voltages of 40V DC, with an internal resistance of 16.5 Ohms and a reported power capacity of 10kW. The drive's BUS capacitance is 4290μF, and it offers 452V DC BUS overvoltage protection.
The 2098-DSD-075X delivers a maximum power output of 7.5kW with an energy absorption capability of 211 Joules at 230V AC. It requires a 16.5 Ohms (-0/+5%) external shunt with a 10Kw power rating and is protected by Class CC (FNQ-R-30) and Class J (LPJ-30SP) 230V AC fuses. The drive dissipates 300W of heat (including the dissipative shunt).
Motion control is implemented using 3-phase Sinusoidal commutation with 4 or 8 kHz space vector modulation frequencies. Velocity is regulated by a digital PID controller with a 250μs update time, while positioning control utilizes a digital PID with feed-forward capability and a 1ms update time. Current regulation is achieved through a digital PI controller with a 125μs update rate.
The 2098-DSD-075X includes an RS-232/RS-422/RS-485 serial port with selectable baud rates of 1200, 2400, 4800, 9600, 19200, and 38400 for communication. Motor feedback is supported through Incremental, Sine/Cosine, Intelligent, and Absolute encoders.
The drive is designed to operate within a temperature range of 0° C to 55° C (32° F to 131° F) at a relative humidity range of 5-95% (non-condensing) and can function without derating at altitudes up to 1500m. 1 The 2098-DSD-075X weighs 20.6 pounds and has dimensions of 243.84mm x 50.8mm x 91.44mm.
