Product Description

The Allen-Bradley 2098-DSD-HV100X is an Ultra 3000 drive, part of the 2098 Digital Servo Drives series, designed to support both simple, standalone indexing and multi-axis integrated motion. This drive module is a 400V class drive powered by an external supply voltage range of 230-480VAC, 3-Phase. It's engineered to deliver a continuous output power of 10 kW and a continuous output current of 23.0 A (rms).

This Ultra 3000 drive incorporates solid-state motor overload protection that complies with the UL 508C directive. Specifically, the motor protection is designed to trip:

Eventually at 100% overload
Within eight (8) minutes at 200% overload
Within 20 seconds at 600% overload
For additional external protection, recommended Allen-Bradley fuses are the KTK-R-20 Class CC fuse and the LPJ-17-1/2SP Class J fuse. Alternatively, circuit breakers may be used, but they must have a Fully Rated Short Circuit Interrupt Capability. The recommended Allen-Bradley Circuit Breaker has the catalog number 140M-F8E-C32. Bulletin 140M circuit breakers are not recommended for use on the AC drive output, acting as an isolating device or disconnect switch.

Incoming power connections are made through terminals L3, L2, L1, L1 AUX, and L2/N AUX. The recommended wire size is 4 mm² or 12 American Wire Gauge (AWG), and the appropriate tightening force for each terminal is 1.25 N-m or 11 lb.-in.

The 2098-DSD-HV100X is compatible with shunt modules such as the 2090-SR040-09 or 2090-SR040-18. Shunt modules are connected to terminals TB2-1, TB2-2, and TB2-3, using a recommended wire size of 6 mm² or 10 AWG with a tightening force of 1.25 N-m or 11 lb.-in.

This module includes a set of parameters used to configure and monitor drives. When a parameter is written using Explicit Messages, the parameter values are stored as work values and in nonvolatile memory. The module also supports Automatic Device Replacement (ADR).
