Product Description
The Allen Bradley Ultra5000 2098-IPD-075-DN is a fully programmable, high-speed, high-precision, 240 Volt AC, 3-phase servo drive with DeviceNet connectivity. It's designed to provide a continuous output power of 7.5 KW, requires a 3-phase, 240 Volt AC supply, and is suitable for operating small to midsize servo motors in applications like conveyor belts, robotic arms, and CNC routers.
This drive incorporates internal shunt circuitry that activates when necessary to protect the drive and dissipate excess regenerated power. This regenerated power can flow from the motor back to the drive module during deceleration, especially when connected to heavy mechanical loads. An option exists to connect external shunt resistors if the internal shunt's capacity is insufficient.
The Ultra5000 2098-IPD-075-DN is equipped with a substantial number of fully programmable and configurable General Purpose Input/Outputs (GPIOs), including 16 Digital Inputs (DI), 7 Digital Outputs (DO), 2 Analog Inputs (AI), and 2 Analog Outputs (AO). This extensive I/O capability allows the drive to receive numerous commands or sensor inputs and to transmit a wide range of status and diagnostic signals.
This feature can eliminate the need for an external PLC or controller in simpler motion control applications.
The drive's configuration and status parameters can be accessed and modified through its DeviceNet Connectivity. This enables connection to Human Machine Interfaces (HMIs), Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs), Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) systems, or any system that supports the DeviceNet protocol. The drive also provides a continuous output current of 35 Amperes (0-peak) and an intermittent output current of 75 Amperes (0-peak), all within dimensions of 5.55 x 9.73 x 14.20 inches (166.4 x 274.3 x 360.7 millimeters).
