Product Description

The Allen-Bradley 803-NK36 Bulletin 803 Cam Kit, discontinued on October 31, 2007, contains two cam segments and mounting hardware to create one circuit for a rotating cam limit switch. This kit allows users to form a cam assembly with high (lobe) and low (valley) positions to actuate contacts within the switch, detecting machine rotation for control feedback. Timing is adjusted by shifting the cam segments, dwell by fanning them out, and both are secured with nuts. The assembly's NC contact opens between 48 and 69 degrees, while the NO contact remains closed from 291 to 312 degrees. Proper lobe overlap and secure seating against the shaft are crucial for reliable operation and to prevent damage.

Is Your Device Showing These Signs?

The Allen Bradley 803-NK36 push button commonly experiences issues such as contact degradation leading to intermittent or failed electrical continuity, necessitating contact replacement or cleaning. Actuator failure due to mechanical wear is a frequent problem, resulting in button sticking or non-responsiveness, requiring actuator replacement. Binding within the operator assembly impedes smooth operation, often caused by debris accumulation or component misalignment, demanding thorough cleaning and realignment. Furthermore, terminal block corrosion compromises secure wiring connections, causing signal loss or erratic behavior, necessitating terminal cleaning or replacement to ensure proper electrical functionality.
