Initial Fault:This Cosel power supply arrived at our facility completely dead. The customer reported their equipment would not power on at all, halting their process. The unit showed no signs of life and had no voltage output on either the 5V or 24V rails when tested on our bench.

Our Solution:Our technicians began with a full diagnostic evaluation. After confirming a blown input fuse, further testing revealed a short circuit in the primary power section. Component-level diagnostics using a signature analyzer and multimeter identified a failed bridge rectifier and a shorted primary switching MOSFET as the root cause of the failure.

Beyond the immediate fault, our analysis showed that several output capacitors were showing signs of age. To enhance long-term reliability and ensure a complete refurbishment, we performed a proactive 'recap' of the board. We replaced not only the failed primary-side components but also these high-wear output capacitors.

Following the component-level repairs, the LEB100F-0524-Y was reassembled and subjected to rigorous load testing. We connected both the 5V and 24V rails to electronic loads at their full rated current, verifying stable voltage output and checking for any excessive ripple with an oscilloscope. The fully tested and refurbished power supply was then securely packaged and returned to the customer with our comprehensive 2-year repair warranty, providing a stable and reliable power source for their equipment.
