Product Description

The Allen-Bradley 140G-G2C3-C50 is a 3-pole, 125-Amp molded case circuit breaker designed for control panel applications, providing thermal overcurrent and current overload protection on 600VAC (UL/CSA) circuits. This Frame G breaker, suitable for reverse feed use and sized according to NEC table 430-152, features a non-adjustable thermal-magnetic trip unit with a 50A thermal trip and 500A magnetic trip. It offers a 25kA interrupting rating, 800VAC insulation voltage, a mechanical lifespan of 25,000 operations, and operates via a load-heated bimetallic element and electromagnetic coil for instantaneous tripping. Standard features include a trip-indicating switch, bolt-on line/load terminals, and a 1-meter pigtail for internal accessories. It has an ambient temperature limit of 40C, a storage temperature range of -40 to 80C, dimensions of approximately 76.2 x 70 x 130 mm, and weighs about 1.1 kg.

Is Your Device Showing These Signs?

The Allen Bradley 140G-G2C3-C50 Molded Case Circuit Breaker commonly experiences issues related to nuisance tripping caused by incorrect overload settings or thermal magnetic trip unit malfunction. Contact wear and degradation due to frequent switching or high fault currents are frequent problems. Furthermore, inspect for loose connections at the line and load terminals, which create increased resistance and heat, leading to premature failure. Calibration drift in the trip unit requires attention, and the breaker's overall mechanical integrity, including the operating mechanism and enclosure, must be verified to ensure proper functionality and safety.
