Product Description
The Allen-Bradley 140G-H6F3-D10 is a 3-pole, 100A molded case circuit breaker (MCCB) from the 140G series, offering electronic or thermal/magnetic trip options. Ideal for control panel protection, the 140G series (10-3000A) is compact, globally approved (UL, CSA, IEC), and requires power disconnection before installation/service. Install within a suitable enclosure per NFPA 70E. The 140G-H6F3-D10 has a maximum operating temperature of 104F, requires 8 AWG copper grounding, and should be stored between -40 and 80C when unused. It features an adjustable thermal/magnetic trip (70-100A thermal, 500-1000A magnetic), an 8kV impulse voltage rating, and an electrical life of 8000 operations (120/hour at 415VAC). Its interrupting ratings are 150kA at 240VAC, 65kA at 480VAC, and 25kA at 600VAC.
Is Your Device Showing These Signs?
The Allen Bradley 140G-H6F3-D10 molded case circuit breaker commonly experiences issues such as nuisance tripping caused by incorrect overload settings or thermal magnetic trip unit malfunction. Field failures often stem from contact erosion due to high fault currents or repetitive switching, necessitating replacement of the breaker. Connectivity problems arise from damaged terminal lugs or loose connections, leading to voltage drops and potential overheating. Calibration drift in the trip unit impacts protection accuracy, requiring recalibration or component replacement. Internal component failures within the operating mechanism or arc chutes also contribute to breaker malfunction.
