This controller, rated at 650 Amps and 5-500 HP at 460VAC, accepts 200-460VAC (3-phase, 50-60Hz) input and features a 100-240VAC control voltage range. Standard operating modes include soft start, kickstart, current limit, dual ramp start, full voltage, and energy saver, with optional modes like soft stop, pump control, preset slow speed, and SMB smart motor braking. Motor overload protection and metering are also standard. It supports 2-wire and 3-wire control, can be wired with or without an isolation contactor, and includes a serial interface for HMI and communication modules. Status indication is provided for stopped, stopping, fault, and ramping functions. This open-enclosure controller has a peak heat dissipation of 2025 Watts, operates between 32-122F, can be stored/transported between -4-167F, and is rated for Pollution Degree 2 with a maximum altitude of 6560 feet. It weighs approximately 370 pounds and measures 60 x 32 x 15 inches.

Is Your Device Showing These Signs?

The Allen Bradley 150-B650NBD commonly experiences issues such as nuisance tripping due to incorrect overload settings or faulty trip mechanisms. Contactor coil failures, resulting in motor starting problems, are frequent. Inspect auxiliary contacts for wear or damage, as these impact control circuit functionality. Diagnose and rectify communication errors stemming from corrupted data or network faults within the DeviceNet interface. Address thermal overloads caused by excessive ambient temperatures or insufficient ventilation, ensuring proper heat dissipation for optimal performance.
