Product Description

The Allen-Bradley 150-C108NBR is an SMC-3 smart motor controller and soft starter designed for efficient AC motor startup and stopping. It supports Soft-start, Current limit start, Selectable kick-start, Coast-to-rest, and Soft-stop modes with configurable parameters. It operates at 200-460VAC, 3-Phase, 50/60 Hz, with a 24VDC/24VAC control voltage. Suitable for both line-connected and Delta-connected motors, it offers configurable trip classes, starting torque, and built-in protections like SCR/Run bypass, electronic motor overload, phase reversal, and over-temperature. It features DIP switches for setup, LED indicators, a reset/test button, and a rotary switch for FLA setup. Typical applications include fans, lifts, compressors, pumps, conveyors, chillers, and crushers. It also includes pre and during start tests for shorted SCRs and phase imbalance protection.

Is Your Device Showing These Signs?

The Allen Bradley 150-C108NBR commonly experiences issues related to thermal overload trips due to incorrect FLA settings or phase imbalance. Contactor coil failures, often caused by voltage fluctuations or transient surges, prevent proper operation. Inspect auxiliary contact blocks for wear or damage, as these impact control circuit functionality. Diagnose and rectify issues with the overload relay, ensuring proper calibration and response to overcurrent conditions. Replace damaged or worn power poles to maintain optimal current carrying capacity and prevent arcing.
