The Allen-Bradley 150-F5FHD is a 5A, 460V AC solid-state soft starter from the SMC-Flex series, designed for standard three-phase squirrel cage induction motors and resistive loads. Housed in an IP65 (Type 4/12) enclosure, it operates with a 200/208V AC rated voltage and a 200-208V AC three-phase input (50/60 Hz), featuring a 100-240V AC control voltage (for 5-480A units). It offers standard start modes, electronic motor overload protection, SCR/Run functionality, and programmable application parameters via a front-mounted five-button keypad and LCD. Users can program up to 99 starts per hour to reduce motor stress and utilize underload protection to stop motor operation upon sensing a current drop. A selectable kick-start provides a high torque pulse for difficult-to-start loads. The unit also includes a serial interface port for connecting to a Bulletin 20 Human Interface Module and various communication networks like ControlNet, Profibus, DeviceNet, Interbus, and Ethernet. It can be configured as a combination or non-combination model.
