The Allen-Bradley/Rockwell Automation 150-F5NCD is an SMC Flex smart motor controller designed for 3-phase motors operating between 200-575VAC at 50/60Hz, delivering 3HP (60Hz) or 2.2kW (60Hz). This open-style controller, requiring enclosure installation with cooling to maintain a maximum internal temperature of 50C, offers advanced soft starting and stopping capabilities with multiple operating modes (full voltage, current limit, soft start/stop, preset slow speed, dual ramp, linear speed acceleration). It provides 1-5 Amps of current, comprehensive motor protection, and requires a 100-240VAC power supply for control and fan operation. The user interface includes an LCD screen for fault diagnostics, status LEDs, a keypad, and programmable auxiliary contacts. Front-mounted control terminals, including dedicated inputs for PTC thermistors to detect motor overheating, enable fault detection and motor shutdown to prevent damage.
