Product Description

The Allen-Bradley 150-F780NZE is a solid-state, three-phase SMC Flex smart motor controller designed for line-connected motors, including standard squirrel-cage induction, Wye-delta, and six-lead motors. Operating on a 200-690V AC input (50/60 Hz) with a 110/120V AC control voltage, this open-type controller is rated for 780A and 600 HP at 460V AC. In a 690V AC Y-type system, it handles motor currents from 260-780A, with maximum power ratings of 800 kW at 50 Hz and 1000 HP at 60 Hz. It functions optimally between -5 and 40C and can be stored/transported between -20 and 75C. The controller features status indicators, a front keypad, a backlit LCD, and four programmable auxiliary contacts. It offers various start/stop modes (full voltage, preset slow speed, linear speed acceleration, soft start, dual ramp, current limit start, and soft stop) and comprehensive protection against faults like over/undervoltage, overload, stall, jam, phase reversal, and more. Braking and pump control options are also available.

Is Your Device Showing These Signs?

The Allen Bradley 150-F780NZE commonly experiences issues such as nuisance tripping due to incorrect overload settings or electrical noise. Contactor failure, indicated by coil burnout or mechanical binding, requires immediate attention. Communication faults within the EtherNet/IP network, stemming from incorrect IP addressing or faulty cabling, disrupt motor control. Firmware corruption necessitates a reflash to restore proper functionality. Component degradation, particularly capacitors and resistors on the control board, leads to erratic behavior and must be addressed through replacement.
