Product Description

The Allen-Bradley 1715-IB16D is a 16-channel, 18-32 VDC digital input module for redundant I/O systems, designed for critical applications requiring high availability and minimal downtime. It features independent, galvanically-isolated input channels, integrated diagnostics, and online component replacement capability (in duplex mode). It draws 260 mA, has a maximum slew rate of 3600 V/s, a maximum translation rate of 1/(application scan time + 10 ms) Hz, and 50V continuous isolation between I/O and backplane. Use 22-16 AWG copper wire rated for 85C or higher, and a 125V, 50 mA, Type T fuse. Operating conditions are -25 to 70C and 10-95% non-condensing humidity, with a maximum surrounding air temperature of 70C. It withstands 25g shock on DIN rail or 30g panel mounted. It's certified by cULus, CE, C-Tick, Ex, IECEx, KC, and for functional safety. It weighs 360g and measures 166 x 42 x 118 mm. When used with the 1715-TASIB16D simplex termination assembly, it is non-isolated. Power dissipation is 4W maximum for the system and 0.2W maximum per field loop. Storage temperature ranges from -40 to 85 degrees Celsius.
