Product Description

The Allen-Bradley/Rockwell Automation 1719-TB8XS is a safe and reliable terminal block module within the 1719 Ex I/O series, designed for Zone 2 or Class I (Division 2) hazardous areas. It connects field devices directly to I/O modules via supplied screws, with options for side, front, or spring terminals. Its compact design maximizes efficiency in confined spaces, enabling EtherNet/IP integration of hazardous area devices within a chassis-based I/O system. Configuration is streamlined for easy integration into existing architectures. Power is supplied via the chassis, with optional redundancy and a DLR adapter. Analog modules support HART 7. The 1719 family includes various components like digital and analog I/O, communication adapters, backplanes, power supplies, and connection cables, certified by CE, ATEX, C-Tick, IECEx, UL/c-UL, RCM, and Zone 2/Class 1 Division 2 standards. The 1719-TB8XS features 16 poles, a 0.22-0.25 N-m terminal screw torque, and accepts unshielded wires sized 0.14-1.5 mm.

Is Your Device Showing These Signs?

The Allen Bradley 1719-TB8XS termination base commonly experiences issues such as corrupted backplanes causing communication failures, damaged spring clamp terminals leading to wiring faults, and degraded DIN rail clips resulting in insecure mounting. Technicians address these problems by replacing the backplane assembly, repairing or substituting faulty terminal blocks to ensure proper signal integrity, and securing the module to the rail with new mounting hardware. Field calibration and verification of I/O signals are performed after repairs to guarantee system accuracy and operational reliability. Environmental factors such as excessive vibration or temperature fluctuations accelerate component degradation, requiring proactive maintenance.
