The Allen-Bradley 1734-OE2C is a 2-channel, unipolar analog output module with single-ended, non-isolated current outputs (0-21 mA, 13-bit resolution). It converts digital code to analog signals, consuming 4 bytes and producing 2 data bytes. Selectable output ranges are 0-20mA and 4-20mA (default), with default scaling points of 1638 (4 mA) and 8191 (20 mA). Open-wire detection triggers a general status bit and a blinking red channel indicator. Accuracy is 0.1% full-scale at 25C, with a temperature drift of 30 ppm/C. Step response (63% FS) is 24 s, and current conversion rate is 16s. It supports a 0-750 Ohm resistive load, draws 75 mA at 5V DC, and dissipates 1.23 Watts (4.19 BTU/Hr). Isolation voltage is 50V continuous (2200V DC withstand for 60s). It requires a 24V DC (10-28.8V DC range) external supply, drawing 70mA (including 20mA outputs). The module features a 4-position key switch, measures 56 x 12 x 75.5 mm, and weighs approximately 36g. It's commonly used to actuate modulating final control elements (FCEs) and re-transmit analog data. For optimal grounding and corrosion resistance, use a zinc-plated, yellow-chromated steel DIN rail for installation. The Series C module is compatible with DeviceNet and Profibus communication adapters.
