Product Description

The Allen-Bradley 1746-HSTP1 is a single-slot stepper controller module for SLC 500 series processors, offering precise stepper motor control with encoder feedback for position verification (not closed-loop control). It supports differential encoders (+5 or +15V) and provides a 250 kHz pulse train output for micro-stepping, handling up to 8,000,000 absolute position counts. The module features programmable operation (no DIP switches), loopback diagnostics, LED indicators for status, and interfaces with various translators and opto-couplers. It operates within a temperature range of 0-60C and can be used in larger PLC systems via the 1746-ASB module. Its dimensions are approximately 5" x 2" x 6" (13 cm x 5 cm x 15 cm) and it weighs around 15 oz (0.43 kg).
