Product Description
The Allen-Bradley 1756-N2XT is a slot filler module designed for use in 1756 ControlLogix-XT chassis to close off unused slots for safety and maintenance. It features RS-232, RS-422, and RS-485 communication ports, a SERCOS data rate of 4 or 8 Mbps, and draws 1.2 amps with a power dissipation of 6.2 Watts. It has a backplane current of 800mA at 5V and 3mA at 24V, a thermal dissipation of 21.2 BTU/hour, and an isolation voltage of 50V continuous. Operating within a temperature range of -25 to 70C, the 1756-N2XT is GOST_R and ROSTECHNADZOR certified. It offers features like configurable on, off, and fault states per point, and utilizes a slow blow 3.15A/250V AC fuse. Field-side wiring connects via RTB modules (1756-TBNH or 1756-TBSH) or an Interface Module (IFM). Its maximum current per point is 0.5A at 60C, maximum current per module is 4A at 60C, and isolation voltage is 265V continuous. It has no enclosure.
Is Your Device Showing These Signs?
The Allen Bradley 1756-N2XT ControlLogix power supply commonly experiences issues such as failure to power on due to component degradation, resulting in PLC downtime. Troubleshooting often reveals blown fuses, capacitor failures, or issues within the internal voltage regulation circuitry. Communication faults and backplane instability also occur, stemming from corrupted firmware or damaged connector pins. Replacement of the power supply is a standard resolution, ensuring stable voltage output and proper system operation for connected I/O modules and processors.
