Product Description

The Allen-Bradley 1762-OB16 is a MicroLogix I/O expansion module compatible with MicroLogix 1100, 1200, and 1400 controllers, providing sixteen 24VDC sourcing digital outputs for energizing devices like solenoids, pilot lamps, and motor starters. This solid-state module has an output voltage range of 20.4-26.4 VDC, with a typical ON delay of 0.1 ms and OFF delay of 1.0 ms. Each output point supports 0.5A at 55C or 1.0A at 30C, with a module-level continuous current of 4.0A at 55C or 8.0A at 30C and a surge current rating of 2.0A. Installation is limited to six modules from the power supply, though additional power supplies can be used. MicroLogix 1100 supports up to four expansion modules, MicroLogix 1200 supports six, and MicroLogix 1400 supports seven. The 1762-OB16 features a maximum bus current draw of 175 mA at 5 VDC and can be panel or DIN rail-mounted, requiring proper grounding, ventilation (2 inches clearance on all sides), and an operating altitude below 2000m with 5-95% non-condensing humidity.
