Product Description
The Allen-Bradley 1770-FAC Series A PLC-2 Keyboard Module connects to Allen-Bradley PLC-2 processors or Series 7100 ControlNet Communication (CNC) modules, enabling users to monitor, edit, and load processor program instructions, as well as generate ASCII reports. It features keytop overlays, a sealed touchpad, PROM memory for processor-specific instruction sets, and an alphanumeric keyboard with special function keys like LINE FEED, RETURN, RUN OUT, REPT LOCK, SHIFT, ESC, CTRL, and blank yellow keys for ASCII space characters. Installation requires removing the connector cover, powering off the switch, unlocking the locking lever, aligning the support pin with the chassis bushings, inserting the keyboard, and locking the lever. The module operates between 0 and 55 degrees Celsius, can be stored between -40 and 65 degrees Celsius, and tolerates a non-condensing relative humidity of 5 to 95 percent.
Is Your Device Showing These Signs?
The Allen Bradley 1770-FAC Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) faces common issues such as corrupted memory modules requiring replacement or reprogramming, power supply failures causing system downtime, and communication errors stemming from faulty backplane connections or outdated firmware. Resolve I/O module failures by replacing the defective unit and updating PLC ladder logic accordingly. Address program execution errors by debugging the control logic and verifying proper data handling within the PLC's memory. Preventative maintenance, including regular inspections and firmware updates, mitigates these issues and ensures optimal PLC performance.
