Product Description

The Allen-Bradley 1783-US6T2H Stratix 2000 is an unmanaged, single-port Ethernet switch featuring 6 fast Ethernet RJ45 ports and 2 fast Ethernet single-mode fiber SFP ports. It uses packet-based broadcast storm thresholds of 20 packets per second (pps) for 10 Mbps ports and 200 pps for 100 Mbps ports. Status indicators display network activity, power, and port speed with a 105 ms blink rate. For DC power, use 18-14 AWG twisted-pair copper wire rated for 180F above ambient; for ground, use 14 AWG copper wire with a ring terminal, also rated for 180F above ambient. The switch is din-rail mountable with an open enclosure and operates on 24V (18-60V DC, 18-30V AC, 50-60 Hz), Class 2/SELV, with a maximum power dissipation of 5.927W and a current rating of 442.3 mA at 24V DC. It has a continuous isolation voltage of 30V and basic insulation between power and network channels, tested at 500V AC for 60 seconds. Its operating temperature range is -40-158F, storage temperature range is -40-185F, and maximum ambient temperature is 158F with 5-95% non-condensing relative humidity. It withstands 2 g operating vibration (10-150 Hz), 15 g operating shock, and 30 g non-operating shock.

Is Your Device Showing These Signs?

The Allen Bradley 1783-US6T2H Stratix 5700 managed switch commonly experiences issues such as backplane failures, resulting in complete unit inoperability; resolve this by replacing the backplane. Configuration corruption leads to network segmentation faults; re-flash the firmware and restore the configuration from a known good backup. Power supply degradation causes intermittent connectivity; replace the power supply unit. Port failures manifest as inability to establish Ethernet connections; troubleshoot by testing cable integrity and replacing the affected port module. Excessive heat buildup due to inadequate cooling leads to component stress and premature failure; improve ventilation and ensure proper operating temperature.
