Product Description

The Allen-Bradley 1783-US7T1H Stratix 2000 unmanaged Ethernet switch (Series B) features 7 fast Ethernet RJ45 ports and 1 fast Ethernet single-mode fiber SFP port (SFP module sold separately). It includes status indicators for port speed, power, and network, broadcast storm thresholds (20 packets/second for 10 Mbps, 200 packets/second for 100 Mbps), and operates within a temperature range of -40 to 75C. Power input is 24V (12-48V DC, 18-30V AC, 50-60Hz) with a maximum power consumption of 4.6W. Grounding requires a 2.5 mm2 (14 AWG) copper wire, while DC power requires a 4 to 0.25 mm2 (12 to 24 AWG) twisted-pair copper wire, both rated for 86C above ambient. The switch has a non-condensing relative humidity of 5-95% and measures 4.5 x 3.02 x 1.8 inches within an open-type enclosure. It withstands operating vibration of 2 g at 10-500 Hz and shock of 15 g (operating) or 30 g (non-operating).

Is Your Device Showing These Signs?

The Allen Bradley 1783-US7T1H Stratix 5700 Ethernet switch commonly experiences issues such as backplane failures, resulting in complete communication loss and requiring component-level repair or replacement. Configuration corruption leads to network segmentation problems and necessitates firmware reflashing or configuration restoration. Power supply degradation causes intermittent connectivity and demands power module replacement. Port failures on the RJ45 or SFP interfaces disrupt network traffic and require port diagnostics and potential hardware repair. Excessive heat due to inadequate cooling damages internal components, leading to premature failure and requires improved ventilation or component replacement.
