It extends network length, converts media between coax/copper and fiber, powers repeater modules, and enables ring, star, or point-to-point network topologies. It supports up to two 1786-RPFRXL/B or 1786-RPFRL modules, or up to four 1786-RPFS, 1786-RPCD, or 1786-RPFM modules. Requiring 24V DC input, it provides a maximum of 1.6A backplane output current at 5V DC. The 4x4x3 inch, 7-ounce adapter features ready/fault and data error status indicators.
