Product Description

The Allen-Bradley 1794-FLA FlexLogix Extended Local I/O Adapter facilitates communication between FLEX I/O modules and I/O scanner ports via a network, supporting up to eight I/O modules. This DIN rail-mountable module, measuring 3.4 x 3.7 x 3.6 inches and weighing 0.6 lbs, operates on a 24V DC nominal input voltage (19.2-31.2V DC range) and provides a 5V DC backplane supply for the I/O modules. It offers communication options including ControlNet, DeviceNet, EtherNet/IP, and Universal Remote I/O, enabling connections to a maximum of 256 digital I/O points, 64 analog input points, or 32 analog output points, depending on the application, within an operating temperature of 0-55C and a relative humidity of 5-95% (noncondensing).

Is Your Device Showing These Signs?

The Allen Bradley 1794-FLA Flex I/O adapter commonly experiences issues such as communication failures stemming from corrupted backplane connections or incorrect network configurations. Resolve these issues by verifying the DeviceNet address, baud rate settings, and ensuring proper termination. Firmware corruption is a potential cause, necessitating a firmware update via compatible programming software. Power supply fluctuations or failures impact module operation, requiring voltage verification and potential power supply replacement. Damaged connectors or wiring also disrupt communication, demanding physical inspection and repair or replacement.
