Product Description

The Allen-Bradley/Rockwell Automation 193-EC1ZZ electronic overload relay, part of the 193-EC series, provides comprehensive motor protection with features like programmable trip settings, true RMS current sensing, and DeviceNet compatibility. Certified by CE, ABS, CCC, cUL, and C-Tick, and compliant with CSA C22.2 (No. 14), EN 60947-4-1, and UL 508, this E3 relay offers thermal overload, stall, jam, ground fault, phase loss, and over-temperature protection. It supports M5 terminals, three-pole terminal blocks, and optional lug kits, with a maximum fault current of 5000 Amps (UL) and a 600V maximum voltage. Operating at 24V DC (11-25V range) with 3.2W power consumption, the 193-EC1ZZ features two inputs, one output, an adjustable current rating of 9-5000 Amps, and a typical operating frequency of 20-250 Hertz, all within a compact 0.8 kg (1.7 lb) panel-mounted design.

Is Your Device Showing These Signs?

The Allen Bradley 193-EC1ZZ overload relay commonly experiences issues such as nuisance tripping due to incorrect FLA settings or ambient temperature compensation failures. Contactor incompatibility stemming from voltage or current mismatches causes operational faults. Terminal block corrosion or loose wiring connections lead to intermittent operation and communication errors within the motor control center. Calibration drift affects thermal overload protection accuracy, resulting in premature motor shutdowns or failures. Replacement is necessary when internal component degradation or coil burnout occurs, preventing proper motor protection.

Our Repair Process for the

193-EC1ZZ

Our repair process for the Allen Bradley 193-EC1ZZ overload relay begins with a thorough inspection to identify issues such as incorrect FLA settings, ambient temperature compensation failures, contactor incompatibility, terminal block corrosion, loose wiring, or calibration drift. We verify proper FLA settings and address any ambient temperature compensation discrepancies. Contactor compatibility is assessed and corrected to eliminate voltage or current mismatches. Terminal blocks are inspected for corrosion, and wiring connections are tightened to ensure secure operation. Calibration is checked and adjusted to guarantee accurate thermal overload protection. In cases of internal component degradation or coil burnout, the overload relay is replaced to restore proper motor protection functionality.
