The Allen-Bradley 2097-V34PR5-LM is a Kinetix 350 single-axis EtherNet/IP servo drive designed to operate with a three-phase AC voltage of 400 to 480 Volts (320 to 528 Volts RMS) at 50 to 60 Hertz, suitable for driving single motors rated at 2kW and 5.7 Amperes. Notably, this device does not include an integrated EMC line filter. Engineered for network operation, it facilitates motion scalability and simplified integration, primarily with the CompactLogix family of PLCs to support Integrated Motion over an EtherNet/IP network, and it features an embedded safe torque off function.
Commissioning the Allen-Bradley 2097-V34PR5-LM is streamlined, especially when used with Allen-Bradley MP-Series and TL-Series motors, which the drive can automatically identify on the network. Capable of handling regenerative applications through the connection of shunt resistors, it also provides status indicators for a quick assessment of its operational state, including network, axis, and module indicators. This economical and space-efficient drive has dimensions of 185 mm x 94.0 mm x 238 mm and a power dissipation of 58 Watts. Weighing approximately 2.0 kg, it can operate in temperatures ranging from 0 to 50 degrees Celsius and be stored between -25 to 85 degrees Celsius. The 2097-V34PR5-LM requires an input voltage of 320…528V rms three-phase (480V nominal) at a frequency of 48-62 Hz, with a nominal input current of 5.5 A and a maximum inrush current of 4.5 A. Its control backup input voltage range is 20-26 VDC, with a nominal input current of 500 mA and a maximum inrush of 30 A. The output characteristics include a continuous output current of 4.0 A (rms) and 5.7 A (0-pk), a peak output current of 12.0 A (rms) and 17.0 A (0-pk), and an output power of 2.00 kW. For UL applications, recommended protective devices include a KTK-R-10 (10 A) fuse, a 1489-A3C100 miniature circuit breaker, and a 140M-C2E-C10 motor protection circuit breaker. For IEC or non-UL applications, suitable devices are DIN gG fuses (10 A maximum), a 1492-SP3D100 miniature circuit breaker, and a 140M-C2E-C10 motor protection circuit breaker. Additionally, appropriate AC coil and DC coil contactors are the 100-C12x10 and 100-C12Zx10, respectively. For control input power, a transformer with a 460V AC input and a 750VA output at 120-240V AC is recommended.
