The Allen-Bradley 2098-DSD-020X-DN is an Ultra 3000 Digital Servo Drive Module (with DeviceNet and Indexing) from the Ultra 3000 Product family, used primarily to interface with servo motors (like Allen-Bradley's Kinetix series) for motion and position control of connected loads. It accepts feedback position data from encoders, including Allen-Bradley sine/cosine and incremental external encoders from the Bulletin 842HR, 844D, 847H, and 847T series.
This servo drive operates with an input supply voltage of 120VAC / 240 VAC, 1-Phase, 50-60 Hz, and an input current of 18 Amperes. It delivers an output voltage of 120 / 240 VAC, 3-Phase, a programmable frequency range of 0-400 Hz, a maximum continuous output current of 10 amperes, and a maximum peak output current of 30 Amperes. This DeviceNet interface facilitates high-speed data exchange over longer distances. In addition to the DeviceNet interface, the 2098-DSD-020X-DN also includes built-in indexing capability. This indexing function allows pre-configured servo motor movements to be stored in the drive's memory, enabling users to select predefined indexing profiles for specific loads or product types. These stored movements encompass parameters like acceleration, velocity, deceleration, ramp-up, ramp-down, and positional data, simplifying repeated operations.
