The 2098-DSD-HV030 Ultra3000 Digital Servo Drive is a high-performance Kinetix digital servo drive manufactured by Allen-Bradley/Rockwell Automation. It operates with 480 Volts AC of input voltage, an input frequency of 47 to 63 Hertz, an input current of 4 Amps, and provides 3 Kilowatts of continuous power output at the rated input voltage. The drive has a bus capacitance of 470 microfarads and an internal shunt resistance rating of 120 Ohms. Its communication interface is the SERCOS interface, which integrates the servo drive with the ControlLogix platform. A DeviceNet networking option is also available. The 2098-DSD-HV030 Drive offers several operating speeds that can be selected using the drive's digital inputs. It weighs 18.8 pounds.
The 2098-DSD-HV030 Ultra3000 Digital Servo Drive can be easily integrated with various Allen-Bradley machine control architectures and comes with standard high-density D-shell connectors. This servo drive includes solid-state motor overload protection that predicts the motor's operating temperature using a thermal memory algorithm. It supports optional accessories such as drive-mounted breakout boards, panel-mounted breakout boards, shunt modules, AC line filters, and external auxiliary encoders. The 2098-DSD-HV030 Ultra3000 Digital Servo Drive has eight selectable general-purpose inputs and four selectable general-purpose outputs. It is compatible with a wide range of Allen-Bradley servo motors, including the MP series medium inertia motors, food-grade motors, stainless steel motors, and the TL series low inertia motors. Its digital velocity and current loops provide stable performance in applications requiring precise velocity control. The drive can be used with PLC, PC-based, or stand-alone motion controllers.
