Product Description
The Allen-Bradley 2098-DSD-HV150 is an Ultra 3000 servo drive designed for both simple standalone indexing and multi-axis integrated motion control. This Ultra 3000 drive, including the 2098-DSD-HV150, can be directly integrated with the ControlLogix Programmable Automation Controller (PAC) platform and the SOFTLogix controller. This integration is achieved through the Serial Real-Time Communication System (SERCOS) protocol, enabling integrated motion over Ethernet/IP.
The 2098-DSD-HV150 features integrated support for multi-turn absolute encoders and the option to provide external logic power to maintain the drive's position in the event of a power loss. It also has an embedded RS232 / RS485 communication interface for implementing point-to-point (RS232) and multi-node communication (RS485) using a daisy-chain topology.
This drive has an AC input voltage requirement of 230-480V rms, 3-phase, and an input frequency range of 47-63 Hz. Incoming voltage supplies are wired to the L3, L2, L1, L1 AUX, and L2/N AUX terminals. The recommended wire size is 6 mm² in diameter or 10 American Wire Gauge (AWG), and connections should be tightened to 1.25 N-m (11 lb-in.). The output parameters of this drive include a 34 A continuous output current, a 68A intermittent output current, and a Continuous Power Output of 7.5 kW at 230 VAC input and 15 kW at 460 VAC input. This drive has a Bus Capacitance of 940 µF.
This product has been tested and verified by Allen-Bradley for operation in hazardous and adverse working conditions, including extreme temperature ranges. The internal 5 Volt DC power supply has a resettable fuse that opens at 3A and automatically resets when the current falls below 3A. To prevent signal loss, it's important to avoid mixing glass and plastic cables when connecting the 2098-DSD-HV150 to a bulkhead adapter. The 2098-DSD-HV150 is designed for easy transport and installation in remote locations, with straightforward instructions for various mounting types.
