The 2098-IPD-010 requires an input voltage of 100-240VAC rms, 1-phase, with an input current of 18A and a frequency of 47-63 Hz. It delivers a continuous output power of 0.25 kW at 115VAC and 0.5 kW at 230VAC, with an output voltage of 100-240VAC, a frequency of 0-400Hz, a Continuous Output Current of 2.5A, and a Peak Output Current of 7.5A.
When purchased, the 2098-IPD-010 includes two I/O connector plugs (one for the 28-pin CN1A Digital I/O Connector and one for the 14-pin CN1B Auxiliary Feedback/Analog I/O Connector), a clear plastic terminal strip cover, and a manual with basic installation tools.
For installation, this drive must be mounted within an enclosure that meets IEC60529 requirements for electrical enclosures of controlgear, as the device itself is classified as IEC controlgear. It can be mounted directly onto a flat subpanel to minimize vibration and shock. The enclosure must be free from moisture, oil mist, dust, or corrosive vapors, and it's essential to maintain minimum clearances of 12.7 mm or 0.5 inches on the sides and 50.8 mm or 2.0 inches on the top and bottom for airflow and installation access.
The 2098-IPD-010 Intelligent Positioning Drive's front panel includes a logic power and 7-segment status LED indicators for easy monitoring and troubleshooting. It provides a 28-pin CN1A for digital I/O and a 14-pin CN1B for auxiliary encoder and analog I/O signal connections. The double-row, pluggable, spring-clamp connectors for these connections are shipped with the drive. The high-density D-shell 9-pin CN3A main serial port and CN3B auxiliary serial port, as well as the 15-pin CN2 motor encoder, require standard connectors.
The 2098-IPD-010 Servo Drive has 16 general-purpose digital inputs that can be configured in groups as either active low (current sourcing) or active high (current sinking). It also has eight general-purpose digital outputs, with seven being transistor outputs and one being a single relay output with normally open contacts. The transistor outputs do not have overload protection.
