The Allen-Bradley 20BD040A0AYNAND0 PowerFlex 700 AC drive is a high-performance digital PWM drive designed for exceptional performance in diverse applications. It features enhanced control options, including 115 VAC I/O, a 16-step indexer/profiler for speed profiling and accurate positioning, and Integral Process (IP) control for simplified process loop management. This drive accepts 40 Amps input and delivers 30 Horsepower output at 480 VAC (3-phase), with an input voltage range of +/-10% at 47-63 Hz. It offers 200,000 Amps of circuit protection, a 0.98 power factor, and 97.5% PWM efficiency. Protection features include thermal overload protection via heatsink temperature monitoring and a field-replaceable metal oxide varistor for line fault protection. It provides auto-sensing bus voltage regulation, current limiting, and up to 110% overload capacity for 1 minute. EMC line filtering minimizes harmonic interference, and an internal brake transistor enables cost-effective dynamic braking. PWM digital control with variable carrier frequency allows precise motor speed control by varying output voltage and frequency. Slip compensation achieves 0.1% speed regulation without an encoder and 5% torque regulation. Multiple programmable stop options and independent acceleration/deceleration times optimize performance. Housed in an IP20-rated enclosure for panel mounting, it operates reliably from 0 to 50 degrees Celsius without derating.
