The Allen-Bradley (Rockwell Automation) PowerFlex 700 AC drive, model 20BD2P1A3AYYADC0, provides precise and repeatable speed control for three-phase induction motors using sinusoidal pulse width modulation and offers a vector control option. It's programmable via an HMI module (capable of storing parameters in EEPROM) or a PC tool connected through its pre-installed DeviceNet adapter, enabling communication with PLCs and industrial PCs. Rated for 480VAC (60Hz) with a 2.1A operating current and 1HP output, it features overcurrent protection up to 200,000A. Installation involves panel mounting and connecting power and control cables, emphasizing the importance of separate conduits for incoming power, outgoing motor, and control/DeviceNet cables to prevent interference. If separation isn't possible within an enclosure, power and control cables should cross perpendicularly to minimize signal disruption.
