Product Description

The Allen-Bradley/Rockwell Automation 20D-DL2-CKE1 Phase II control upgrade kit provides a functional and cost-effective solution for various industries by enabling a direct connection between a Powerflex 700S drive and a DriveLogix 5730 Phase II controller. This ready-to-install kit, which includes necessary tools, replaces the original cassette and is compatible with older DPI and NetLinx communication daughtercards. Due to its sensitivity to ESD, professional installation is recommended after completely removing power and covers from the host drive. The upgrade offers improved sensorless motor control, expanded user functions, and enhanced position control. If using SynchLink in Phase I, the optional 20D-P2-SLB0 SynchLink board is required for Phase II compatibility.

Is Your Device Showing These Signs?

The Allen Bradley 20D-DL2-CKE1 PowerFlex 755 AC drive commonly experiences issues related to IGBT failures, often indicated by fault codes and requiring module replacement. Capacitor bank degradation is a frequent problem, leading to DC bus instability and necessitating capacitor replacement. Communication errors on the EtherNet/IP network demand troubleshooting of network configurations and potential replacement of the communication module. Overcurrent and overvoltage faults are addressed through adjustments to drive parameters and inspection of connected motor insulation. Encoder feedback problems are resolved by verifying encoder wiring and replacing faulty encoders.
