Product Description
The Allen-Bradley 20G1AND186AN0NNNNN PowerFlex 755 adjustable frequency AC drive, rated at 186 Amps, offers user-adjustable frequency and a wide range of selectable control methods (Vector Control, Sensorless Vector Control, Volts per Hertz, Permanent Magnet Motor Control, Open/Closed Loop Speed Regulation) for diverse industrial applications. It withstands 1 g peak vibration with 0.040 inches displacement and pollution degrees 1 and 2. Protection features include AC input overvoltage trip at 576V, undervoltage trip at 300V, bus overvoltage trip at 815V DC (nominal bus voltage protection at 648V DC), and line transient protection up to 6000V. It provides a minimum 0.5-second and typical 2.0-second logic control ride-through time, phase-to-ground and phase-to-phase output short circuit protection, and a frequency tolerance of 47-63 Hertz. DC input voltage tolerance is +/- 10% of the nominal bus voltage. Rockwell Automation recommends semiconductor fuses for optimal protection. The drive supports safety ratings up to SIL 3/PLe/Cat 4, hardwired/networked safety functions (STO, Safe Speed Monitor), and networked integrated safety functions. It also supports various industrial communication protocols including Ethernet IP, DeviceNet, ProfiBus DP, ControlNet, HVAC protocols, Bluetooth, CANopen, and LonWorks. Installation should be in an industrial environment without extreme temperatures or moisture.
Is Your Device Showing These Signs?
The Allen Bradley 20G1AND186AN0NNNNN PowerFlex 755 AC drive commonly experiences issues such as IGBT failures due to overcurrent or voltage spikes, capacitor bank degradation leading to DC bus undervoltage faults, and communication errors stemming from corrupted firmware or faulty Ethernet/IP modules. Resolving these problems includes replacing damaged IGBTs, reforming or swapping out degraded capacitors, reflashing the firmware to the latest revision, and troubleshooting network connectivity by verifying IP address configurations and replacing defective communication cards. Parameter corruption within the drive's memory also occurs, necessitating a factory reset and subsequent reprogramming of application-specific parameters. Overheating caused by inadequate cooling or a malfunctioning fan is addressed by cleaning heat sinks and replacing the cooling fan assembly.
