Product Description

The Allen-Bradley 20G24GD302JA0NNNNN PowerFlex 755TS drive, a Size 7 motor controller in a NEMA/UL Type 12 (IP54) enclosure, accepts 480VAC or 650VDC input, supporting DC input with precharge and both single- and three-phase AC input. While it functions with single-phase AC, it achieves its full rated output only with three-phase AC: 302A continuous current, 250HP normal duty, and 200HP heavy duty. With single-phase AC, the output is 156A and 125HP, regardless of AC line reactor presence. Operating temperature ranges from -20 to 40C without derating, and 40.1 to 50C with derating. It lacks an HMI, features Gigabit Ethernet ports for various network topologies, and uses forced air cooling (756 CFM minimum). The heatsink dissipates 3409W, and the drive itself dissipates 693W. Installation should be performed by qualified personnel only.

Is Your Device Showing These Signs?

The Allen Bradley 20G24GD302JA0NNNNN PowerFlex 755 AC drive commonly experiences issues such as IGBT failures, capacitor degradation leading to DC bus undervoltage faults, and encoder feedback problems causing erratic motor control. Communication faults on EtherNet/IP networks and nuisance tripping due to improper parameter settings are frequent. Overcurrent faults stemming from motor insulation breakdown or incorrect drive sizing require immediate attention. Cooling fan malfunctions result in overheating and premature component failure. Resolving these issues involves component replacement, parameter adjustments, insulation testing, and thermal management improvements.
