The Allen-Bradley 22F-V2P5N103 is a PowerFlex 4M adjustable frequency drive (also known as a VFD, VSD, or inverter) used to control the speed of AC motors. It accepts a 100-120VAC, 1-phase input and provides a 0-230VAC, 3-phase output with a current of 2.5A and power of 0.4 kW (0.5 HP). It features built-in RS485 communication for networking up to 31 drives and supports other protocols like Profibus DP and Ethernet. Local configuration and operation are possible via the Human Interface Module (HIM). Its compact size and zero-stacking capability (up to 40C) make it suitable for tight spaces. The NEMA Type Open/IP20 enclosure allows panel or DIN rail mounting for indoor use. The drive includes a removable MOV for voltage transient protection, pre-charge relay for inrush current control, and overload protection (150% for 60s, 200% for 3s). It has 5 digital inputs (3 dedicated to Start, Stop, Reverse, and 2 configurable) and 2 analog inputs (4-20mA or 0-10V). Communication is also possible via the integrated RS485/DSI port.
