The Allen-Bradley 2711E-T10C6 PanelView 1000e operator terminal is a Human Machine Interface (HMI) with a 10.4-inch, 16-bit color, 640x480 resolution touchscreen display for process monitoring and control. Its touchscreen interface simplifies operation, eliminating the need to memorize button assignments. The terminal features built-in Data Highway Plus (DH+)/Remote I/O communication interfaces, utilizing a three-wire cable for high-speed, multi-node communication. It includes 128 KB of battery-backed RAM for storing alarm history, configuration parameters, and other data, and operates in configure and run modes. The analog-resistive touchscreen allows for flexible screen design, supporting imported photographic graphics from a 256-color palette (converted to 16 colors in .bmp and .dxf format) with configurable input objects that can trigger actions and sounds. This allows HMI application development to occur before hardware delivery, saving engineering time. The TFT active matrix display has an adjustable, replaceable backlight and screen saver to extend its lifespan.
