Product Description

The Allen-Bradley 5069-RTB14CJC-SCREW is a 14-pin screw-type terminal block kit designed for field-side wiring of thermocouple-specific Compact 5000 4-Channel Analog I/O modules used with CompactLogix 5380 and Compact 5000 controllers. It provides a screw-type connection for I/O modules, features cold-junction compensation, and accepts 0.5-1.5 mm2 (22-16 AWG) shielded copper wire rated for 105C (221F) with a maximum insulation of 3.5 mm (0.14 in). Installation involves connecting stripped wires with a 0.4 N-m (3.5 lbin) torque screwdriver and snapping the terminal block onto the module while keeping the DIN rail latch closed. It operates in environments up to 60C (140F) with 5-95% non-condensing humidity and withstands 30G shock and 4.6G vibration. The unit is c-UL-us, CE, RCM, Ex, and KCM certified.

Is Your Device Showing These Signs?

The Allen Bradley 5069-RTB14CJC-SCREW terminal block commonly experiences issues such as loose screw connections leading to intermittent signal loss and communication failures within the CompactLogix system. Corrosion on the screw terminals is a frequent problem, causing increased resistance and impacting signal integrity, particularly in harsh industrial environments. Over-tightening the screws damages the terminal block, stripping the threads and preventing proper wire termination. Replacement of the 5069-RTB14CJC-SCREW is necessary when physical damage occurs, such as cracks or breaks, compromising its structural integrity and electrical safety.
