Product Description
The Allen Bradley 5130-MRM2 is a 384K Resource Manager Daughterboard for Pyramid Integrator PLCs, requiring either +5V DC at 0.6A or +12V DC at 0.02A. It features nine LED indicators (Pass/Fail, Execute, Outputs, Fault, Forces, Channel 1, Channel 2, Channel 3, and Memory Error) and a three-position key switch (Run, Remote, Program). Below the switch are RS-232, RS-423, and RS-422 ports, assigned top-to-bottom as Channel 2A, Channel 1, Channel 2B, and Channel 3 respectively. Channel 1 supports DF1, Slave, and Master protocols, while Channels 2 and 3 support DHPlus and DH. To remove the module, release the locks, slide the thumb tab right, lift slightly, slide the tab further right, grip the left edge, and fully remove. Flip the panel to expose the connector. To change the memory, push out the locking tabs to separate the connectors, exchange the memory board, reconnect, and secure the locking tabs. Flip the board back and re-insert it, then close the locks. Always handle memory boards in a static-safe environment to prevent electrostatic discharge damage.
Is Your Device Showing These Signs?
The Allen Bradley 5130-MRM2 module commonly experiences issues related to communication failures on the EtherNet/IP network, often stemming from incorrect IP address configurations or subnet mask settings. Resolve these by verifying network parameters and ensuring proper network segmentation. Firmware corruption can also lead to operational errors; a firmware update or re-flash is necessary. Diagnose power supply problems if the module fails to initialize or exhibits erratic behavior. Backplane connectivity issues, such as bent pins or corrosion, prevent proper communication with the PLC rack; inspect and clean the backplane connector. Resolve I/O module failures by checking field wiring and replacing damaged components.
