Product Description
The Allen-Bradley 803-A44RH Rotating Cam Limit Switch, part of the 803 family, is a pilot device providing sequential position feedback and control for applications like rotary tables, waterway gates, presses, and packaging machines. Driven directly or via a gear train/roller chain, it actuates control circuits at mechanically set angular positions, rotating clockwise or counter-clockwise and mountable in any plane. Featuring a style A housing, it offers four independent switching circuits with 25A normally closed double break contacts. Its 4 & 13 industrial enclosure protects against water, dust, and oil. The left-side shaft incorporates oversized ball bearings, and the switch includes a heavy-duty steel base, adjustable cam segments, rugged cast iron sides, cable glands, and normally closed, cam-opened control contacts. Weighing approximately 39 lbs (17.7 kg) and measuring 274.6 x 301.6 x 173.0 mm, it operates between -22 and 150F (-30 to 66C). Production of the 803-A44RH ceased in 2007.
Is Your Device Showing These Signs?
The Allen Bradley 803-A44RH pushbutton commonly exhibits issues such as contact degradation leading to intermittent or failed electrical continuity, requiring contact cleaning or replacement. Actuator wear and tear causes sticking or failure to depress, necessitating actuator replacement. Spring fatigue results in poor return action, demanding spring replacement. Terminal block corrosion leads to connection failures, requiring terminal cleaning or replacement. Complete failure of the internal mechanism necessitates full pushbutton assembly replacement.
