The Allen-Bradley 803-A54X Rotating Cam Limit Switch is a durable, long-lasting circuit control switch designed for repetitive industrial machinery applications where the switch's shaft movement directly corresponds to the machine's motion. Ideal for steel forming, water gate/lock systems, and injection molding, it utilizes a shaft-mounted cam to activate five circuits. Each circuit features a cam-operated, normally-closed, double-break contact. The switch has a 150 RPM rated rotating shaft with oversized ball bearings, a contact-mounted cam-roller assembly, and a keyway for shaft connection. Five independent cam operators with adjustable segments control circuit activation. As the shaft rotates, cam lobes press against the roller to activate the circuit; valleys deactivate it. Dwell time, the activation duration, is determined by lobe length, ranging from a minimum of 14 degrees to a maximum of 346 degrees, adjustable via lobe offset. This Style "B" switch features internally-adjusted dwell and timing, a customized double shaft extension, an operating temperature range of -22 to 150F (-30 to 66C), and a non-operating range of -22 to 200F (-30 to 93C). It is housed in a NEMA Type 4 and 13 enclosure and weighs approximately 11.3 kg (25 lbs) with dimensions of 211.1 x 144.5 x 200 mm (8.31 x 5.69 x 7.88 inches). It is CE, CSA, and UL certified.
