Product Description

The Allen-Bradley 803-F1212P10 is a robust, rotating cam limit switch designed for heavy-duty, repetitive-cycle machines where shaft rotation correlates with machine motion. It features 12 circuits, 10 internally adjustable cams (mounted at the 12th position, opposite the shaft extension), and is suitable for mounting on any plane. This bi-directional switch, rated for Type 1 and 13 enclosures, offers a long lifespan with proper installation and use. Style "F" switches like the 803-F1212P10 include 1 N.O. and 1 N.C. snap-action contact rated at 10 Amp, a maximum shaft speed of 150 RPM, and adjustable cam duration (12-348 degrees). Equipped with a spring-loaded cam-roller assembly and external dwell time/timing adjustments configurable during operation with a screwdriver, it operates between -30 and 66 degrees Celsius and stores between -30 and 93 degrees Celsius. Typical shaft torque ratings are 3 in-lbs (lobe), 7 in-lbs (ramp), and 0.5 in-lbs (valley). The switch weighs approximately 20 lbs (9.1 kg) and measures 17.56 x 15.31 x 7.66 inches.

Is Your Device Showing These Signs?

The Allen Bradley 803-F1212P10 proximity sensor commonly exhibits issues related to wiring faults, including short circuits and open circuits, which disrupt signal transmission. Sensor contamination from debris or excessive vibration leads to inaccurate readings or complete failure. Power supply fluctuations or insufficient voltage cause intermittent operation or prevent the sensor from activating. Damaged sensing faces or compromised housing integrity from impact or environmental factors necessitate replacement to maintain reliable object detection. Configuration errors within the PLC or control system result in incorrect interpretation of the sensor's output signal.

Our Repair Process for the

803-F1212P10

Our repair process for the Allen Bradley 803-F1212P10 proximity sensor begins with a comprehensive inspection to identify wiring faults, contamination, physical damage, and power supply issues. Technicians meticulously examine wiring for short circuits and open circuits, clean the sensing face to remove debris, and assess the housing for any structural compromise. Power supply voltage is verified to meet specified requirements, and the sensor's output is tested under controlled conditions to confirm accurate signal transmission. Configuration settings within the PLC or control system are reviewed and corrected to ensure proper interpretation of the sensor's output. If component-level repairs are not feasible or cost-effective, the sensor is replaced with a new or refurbished unit to restore functionality.
