Product Description

The Allen-Bradley 803-PL12X 803 Rating Cam Limit Switch is a robust circuit controller designed for heavy-duty industrial machinery with repetitive cycles, where machine motion is linked to shaft rotation. It features a factory-modified double shaft extension with fast, cost-effective internal cam adjustment and a cam code sequence starting from the first cam. It offers long life and includes a built-in 25A N.C contact with AC and DC MAKE/BREAK ratings of 150A/15A and 30A/3A at 120V and 600V AC, and 1A at 230-250V DC, respectively. The 803-PL12X provides sequential circuit activation/deactivation via 12 cam-opened contacts, a spring-loaded cam-roller, and a rotating shaft (max 400 RPM), with two adjustable cam assemblies. Timing and dwell time are determined by cam segment position and lobe size. It operates between -30C and 66C, stores between -30C and 93C, and has a NEMA 4 & 13 enclosure. Weighing 13.6 kg and measuring 483.3mm x 181mm x 138.1mm, it is CSA, UL, and CE-certified.

Is Your Device Showing These Signs?

The Allen Bradley 803-PL12X proximity sensor commonly experiences failures due to coil burnout from overvoltage or inductive load spikes. Technicians address issues such as erratic output signals traced to wiring faults, cable damage, or corrosion at terminal blocks. Sensor range degradation is resolved through recalibration or replacement of the sensing element. In harsh industrial environments, physical damage to the sensor housing or face necessitates replacement to maintain proper functionality and prevent ingress of contaminants. Troubleshooting often involves verifying the power supply voltage, checking for proper grounding, and confirming the sensor's compatibility with the programmable logic controller (PLC) input module.
